From 8th to 16th May 2015, 24 students and 9 teachers from the partner countries participate in mobilities in Merignac.

Friday 15 May

Time to say good bye. Emotion...

Thursday 14 May

Day on the Bassin d’Arcachon. After a bus trip, we spent two hours on the Dune du Pilat (the bigest in Europe). The picnic lunch took place on the Arcachon fishing port. We then visited the city on foot: the waterfront and the "Winter part of the city".

At 4:30 students visited an oyster farm in Gujan Mestras and tasted some oysters. We arrived at school at 6:30.

From 7pm to 8pm, the teachers finished the working meeting on the project, started Wednesday.

Wednesday 13th May

From 8:30 to 10:30, all students attempted normal French students’ lessons
The next two hours were devoted to the working group began on Monday afternoon

Meanwhile, teachers worked on the project, and particularly the implementation of the long term mobilities for next year.

12:30: We all had picnic in school.

1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: A treasure hunt was organized to discover Bordeaux around 10 important squares.

7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: Erasmus party in school for foreign students and their French pairs. 4th and 3rd grade students were also invited; more than 150 students participated in this very warm evening.

Wednesday 13th of May

End of the party at school : more than 150 students came for Erasmus +

Tuesday 12th of May

Thema : consumption

- 8:25 : Coach to Bordeaux for students. Visit of the DARWIN Project.

- Eco-responsible picnic in Bordeaux (no food rubbish, no waste)

- Afternoon : visit and worshops at the “recyclerie déco-solidaire” in Bordeaux

- 18:00 back to school; snack; debriefing.

- 18:30 - 22:00 at “AMAP” = local and organic food directly from the producer to the customer. “Cooking contest” using these products + games linked to consumption.
Dinner with these products.

Monday 11th May

A day in school, according to the following program:

8:25 Welcoming in song ("My Way" in 5 languages ​​prepared by Mrs. Veillerobe, Music teacher). Official Reception of foreign students by Mrs. Mouton Barrere (headmistress) and officials.

9:25: Guided tour of the school by French students in English, Spanish and German.

10: 40-12: 30: Oral presentations by students in English of their schools of their city, country and their consumption habits. More than 100 people attended the presentations.

12:30-14h00 : Lunch in the canteen

14h00-17h00: Work on consumer habits. Foreign students worked in multinational groups. The aim is to produce a leaflet of tips for a better consumption in 6 languages. Meanwhile, teachers attempted a training course about how integrate soft skills in language lessons.

5:00 p.m: Back to families.

Sunday 10th May

Free day. Students visited the region with families whereas teachers went to Saint Emilion (visit of the city and of a wineyard).

Saturday 9th May 2015

At 10 am, all students and teachers were welcomed by the vice-mayor of the city, in the town council room. During the speech, the vice-mayor congratulated students and teachers for their involvement and showed the importance of this project.

After this official reception, students "broke the ice" through 6 team building games in the beautiful parc of the town hall. These games also allow to develop "soft skills" among students (that is one of the objectives of the project), such as : creativity, working in team, leadership, problem solving ... Students and teachers had a picnic in the parc.

At 2:30 pm students came back to families for further activities. Teachers went to visit the typical fishermen village "l’Herbe" by the Bassin d’Arcachon and tasted local food (oysters, seashells, shrimps ...)
